the unpublished memoir relating to the ups and downs, snakes and ladders of life and once again, forgiving yourself for perceived mistakes, in this case romantically speaking. after all, we wouldn't be in the present without them.

when my brother and i were young, in the 80s, we had a trampoline in the backyard. when you jumped up high, you could look into the carpark of the pub. one day a bunch of bikies were being pests and one fella was curling out a hot one to leave a message for the landlord (my dad). each time we jumped up, we laughed at them and they pegged rocks at us. as we fell toward the trampoline, the rocks sailed over our head, we jumped up and laughed again and so the cycle repeated.....
